Welp, I have been sending out newsletters twice a month for over 1 year now! I hope I have helped guide you to some cool and interesting events in the area. I will continue to showcase neat events around town that do not have any ai crap in their flyers or promos. Here’s to at least another year of finding neat events! Thanks for reading
Repair Cafe Nola returns on 9/16! Find out more info by scanning the QR Code there or emailing the fine folks at repaitcafenola@gmail.com
Batman Day is 9/19, which is also the day that BSI is having anotherStorage Forage day! There’s going to be a few vendors upstairs and the store will have sales on a bunch of stuff. Usually discounted back issues, wall books, and trade paperbacks. I go to these whenever I can, and you should too. Check it out! BSI is a great store!
GWAR is playing at Chelsea’s Live in BR on 9/23 with support from BRAT. I won’t be going to this because I will be at the “Weird Al” show.
“Weird Al” is on tour once again and this time, he is in Baton Rouge on 9/23. Dang. Lots of BR events happening nowadays. I bought tickets for $30 a few months ago. Not sure how much they go for now, but you can find them wherever tickets are bought or stolen. “Weird Al” along with Daft Punk are probably the two artists I have listened to for the longest. The first CDs I ever bought with my own money were the Food Album and the TV album. He is still rocking, he is still rolling, and he is still weird.
“The Baton Rouge Film Society, in collaboration with the East Baton Rouge Parish Library, is bringing local filmmakers together for an evening of short films, conversation, and community. Whether you're behind the camera, in front of it, writing scripts, making films, or just passionate about movies, come out and meet the people helping build Baton Rouge's film community.” This is on 9/30

They cater to the vendors and collectors, and each year it gets bigger and better. If you go to one collecting event a year, make it this one! Be sure to make it to Mandeville on 11/14-15
